Eligibility Criteria for IIT Guwahati Recruitment
Age Limit:
- Maximum: 27 years
- No upper age limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati.
Age Relaxation (as per Govt. of India rules):
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD / Ex-Servicemen: As per norms.

Educational Qualification (Post-wise)
- General Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline OR
- Diploma in Engineering (3 years) in relevant field OR
- ITI with 3 years’ experience.
- Must have knowledge of computer applications.
- Infrastructure Planning & Management (IPM):
- ITI Certificate in Electrician Trade with 3 years’ experience in handling 33/11 KV, 11/0.433 KV substations and DG sets.
- (ITI after 10th standard will be considered).
- Central Workshop:
- Post 1: ITI in Carpentry with 3 years’ experience.
- Post 2: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering OR ITI in Turner with 3 years’ CNC machine operation experience.
- Central Instruments Facility (CIF):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics/Chemistry OR
- Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, Biotechnology, or Chemical Engineering.
- Desirable: At least 1 year of hands-on experience in operating analytical instruments in industry/academia/research.
- Preference: Experience with high-end instruments like Spectrophotometer, Mass Spectrometer, X-ray Diffractometer, Electron Microscope, Magnetometer, etc.
